Chris Azure was brought into the human realm in 1976 in Edinburgh, Scotland, through the unfortunate mishap of a world-destroying demon incantation gone horribly wrong. He spent the first eleven years of his newfound existence trying to live up to this legacy, and the three after that denying it completely, after which time he simply became apathetic to the world and everything else around it. He then commenced to create his own worlds: the world as he thought it should be in many cases; in others, the world as he thought it probably shouldn’t.

Chris’s life of Fantasy Writing (as it had now come to be known) was ungraciously interrupted in the summer of 1996, when his home town of Hong Kong was invaded by spider demons. He rose to the task, and became a Chinese Demon Hunter (despite being neither Chinese nor a hunter of demons) until September of that year, when he was sent off to university in Scotland.

During these fateful years, he learnt what it truly meant to be a Slacker, and all notion of Hard Work was erased from his mind, until they made him graduate in 2000 and he was forced to find work.

As his swansong in Hong Kong, he married a Gremlin from beyond the earthly realm, and, as Monster Boy and Gremlin Girl, they became a superhero duo, wandering the streets of Hong Kong and the Nepal Himalayas together, happy to note that there was no crime to be witnessed, which they ascribed to their very presence in the area. They have since moved to America, where they hope to keep the same sense of peace and serenity. The Adventures of Monster and Gremlin continue to be written, and may one day be published.
